Safe, Respectful, Responsible-April 25, 2017

Dear Sexton Mt. Families:

At the assembly on Friday, April 28 at 8:30am, students will be recognized for demonstrating safe respectful and responsible behaviors.  Over the past few weeks, I’ve had conversations with parents about a range of topics including social media, stranger danger, and bullying.  Whether navigating online or through neighborhoods or relationships, if children have a firm understanding of what it means to be safe, responsible and respectful (kind), they can handle any challenge with greater success.

Because we will have an assembly on Friday morning, we hope to have lots of volunteers to help with clean up at the end of the Thursday night Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math Night.  It’s going to be a great night of learning!    I look forward to seeing you there.

Fondly,

Teresa Clemens-Brower, Ed. D.
Principal

Jog-a-thon Postponed to May 11

Drop off a kid, Drop off a can.

Wednesday, April 26 Planting Seeds will be collecting cans of food for hungry Sexton Mountain families.

As you drop off your students for school, please drop off a non-perishable food donation.

Fourth grade volunteers will pick up your donation as you pull into the drop-off lane, so you don’t even have to get out of your car!

Please give:
Instant Oatmeal
Mayonnaise  – in non-glass containers
Granola Bars and other healthy snack foods
And other non-perishable foods

We will also be collecting items from students who bus, bike, and walk, so please send a can with your kid! All food will go to support families in our Sexton Mountain Community. Together we can make a difference and make sure no kid goes hungry.
